Contracted Coaching For Teachers
Keep your teachers by investing in them
Amber Dhanani
For the past decade, I've poured my heart and soul into the world of education. I've been in the trenches, teaching and then coaching elementary and middle school teachers, driven by a burning desire to give students the best shot at success while removing barriers for teachers who are passioniately working towards positive outcomes. Education is an underfunded field, leaving dedicated teachers feeling like they're swimming against the current, or stagnant in their growth and trajectory. Having experienced the aforementioned ebs and flows, it's why I've embarked on this journey to start my instructional coach consultant business. I want to be right there on the frontlines, shoulder to shoulder with the incredible educators who shape young minds daily. Together, we can break through the barriers, develop strategies that work, strengthen pedagogy and bring hope to an education system in need of change. Let's connect and make a powerful impact on education, because our students deserve nothing less. You deserve nothing less.

Instructional Coaching
After surveying 90,000 teachers, The New Teacher Project identified that the top three reasons high performing teachers leave a school are a lack of:
1. Providing me with regular, positive feedback
2. Helping me identify areas of development
3. Giving me critical feedback about my performance informally
Simply put, purposeful instructional coaching is the highest leverage retention strategy for strong teachers. The problem is school administrators rarely have the time amongst all their other duties to also meaningfully support the growth and development of teachers. Instructional coaching is available to one or multiple teachers for a base hourly rate, responsive to the unique needs of your school.
Amber was an incredible coach to me. Coming into my first year as a teacher I did not know what to expect or how to navigate it. Amber provided much relief to that because she always assured me how much she was in my corner. Much of the workload was heavy and tedious but having her as a coach made it feel lighter. She made herself available when needed and supported me through any area of growth I had. Amber’s support, care, and attention to detail allowed my first few months at TGP to run smoother than expected.

Amber’s expertise in teaching and coaching teachers has provided invaluable support, feedback and lessons for me as a first year teacher. With Amber’s help, I’ve been able to scaffold lessons for students in one classroom that have widely different needs. Amber’s coaching has also helped immensely with classroom management and learning how to navigate a classroom with lots of high needs. Her quick, solution oriented nature have made me feel so supported in every step of the way!

In my 10 years of experience I have never been treated with such consideration, thoughtfulness and grace. Always the solution oriented person in the room, with the talent to calm a room full of anxieties or encourage a group of tired and frustrated teachers. Amber has such a unique approach to her coaching, seeing her team as real people and connecting in an authentic way. If there is ever a need, Amber is the first person to lead the charge. Her ability to instruct and coach adults is a beautiful and rare gift and an experience everyone deserves.

Amber was my instructional coach for 2 years and helped me grow my knowledge and confidence as an educator. Amber provided me with resources and guidance on how to handle incidents involving classroom management and helped me understand and develop my time management skills. When it came to lesson planning, Amber provided me with proper resources to use as a reference to meet the needs of my students as a community while providing individualized student behavior plans.
